Our Services

We have patients with a wide range of needs, some visiting up to 5 times per week and using 3 or 4 departments during their visits. Our most severe patients are those with autism and cerebral palsy, some are blind, deaf, unable to walk or communicate.

Others include, stroke patients, elderly suffering from arthritis and spondilosis, people recovering from surgery, accident or illness, their ages range from less than a year old to 75-80 years of age.

We have a range of ethnicity’s visiting our center and try our best to accommodate them and their cultures and religious needs, allowing sessions to be interrupted for prayers when needed.

Hydrotherapy/Aquatic Therapy
Hydrotherapy or aquatic Therapy is the immersion of the body in a warm pool releasing it from the constant pull of gravity and enabling it to experience the hydrostatic effects of water. Used to treat disease and disability, Hydrotherapy promotes better health for the mind, body and soul. Hydrotherapy includes passive mobilizations, stretches, massage and traction using underwater techniques impossible to carry out on the body on land which strengthen the muscles encouraging blood flow, thereby lessening pain sensitivity. The therapy also has impressive benefits on the immune system and lymphatic system.

Speech and Language Therapy
Speech and Language Therapy provides treatment, support and care for children and adults who have difficulties with communication, or with eating, drinking and swallowing. Speech Therapy is especially beneficial when children with language issues begin treatment early in life. Language intervention can benefit a child socially, emotionally and academically. The therapist can assess what kind of a language problem the child has, determine the cause and decide of the best treatment forwards. The therapist will give patients strategies such as activities to practice at home to reinforce the skills they are learning to deal with obstacles more effectively.

Physiotherapy/Sports Injury Rehabilitation
Physiotherapy is a physical treatment using massage, exercises, and heat modulates to restore lost functioning of the body, or to educate/reeducate the body to normal or as near normal functioning as possible. Function can be lost due to poor posture, pain, weakness, injury, disability or disease. When congenital or acquired disease exists, normal functioning of the body is best taught in childhood. Physiotherapy drastically improves a patients quality of life, giving them independence and improved self esteem. The therapy also helps with pain management and weight loss.

Child Developmental Therapy
Developmental Therapy is a discipline that specifically looks at how a child is developing during the most significant period of Development. Developmental Therapist assess a child’s global development focusing on their cognitive skills, language and communication, social-emotional skills and behavior, gross and fine motor skills and self help skills, and identify specific areas of need and areas of strength. With this information,, play activities are designed to help the child overcome their challenges and improve their quality of interactions in order for them to gain confidence in their own ability to learn and acquire typical skills. some common needs to developmental therapy include: speech delay or communication disorder; delay in cognitive development, Autistic Spectrum Disorder,; Pervasive Development Delay; Sensory Processing Differences,; Decreased Attention Span/ADD/ADHD; Learning Disabilities; Behavioral Problems; poor social skills/ aggression; prematurity; Emotional Trauma; Vision or Hearing Impairment; Gross and Fine motor disorders.

Counselling
Counselling is an opportunity to discuss issues that are causing concern in a supportive, respectful and confidential environment. People can attend counselling as individuals, couples, or as a family. Counselling for children is also available.

Matters discussed include couple issues, relationship breakdown, parenting, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, sexual issues, childhood sexual abuse, stress and conflict in various situations including work related conflicts.

In the sessions counsellors facilitate discussion about the issues that are causing concern, exploring factors that might be influencing those situations and supporting clients to work towards dealing with or resolving the issues in a way that suits the individual client.
